The feeder contains a mix of 1/2 oily sunflower, 1/2 wild bird mix (cracked corn, millet, sunflower, safflower). Squirrels have picked over the spillings on the ground. But, no birdies yet today. A dizzying mix of rain, then flurries assails the backyard. The black-eyed junkos must be taking cover in the evergreens until it warms up.
